Twenty-one years ago on Oct 30, 1991, a 32-foot sailboat named Satori was fronted by three weather systems, creating the Perfect Storm.
This year, on October 29, the East Coast braced for another Perfect Storm: Hurricane Sandy.
Hurricane Sandy was a 900 mile wide storm that produced eleven foot tidal waves. With winds up to 90 mph, low pressure from the Arctic creating a more intense storm, and high pressure from the Northern Atlantic Ocean, many people believes this was more than just a Hurricane.
And strangely enough, it’s prophesied in Luke 21.
Luke 21:25 And there will be strange events in the skies, signs in the sun, moon and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.
It’s been said that the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, or HAARP, helped president Obama engineer Sandy. HAARP is a research program that studies the ionosphere, and upper atmosphere.
Many think Sandy was a government conspiracy because Mitt Romney and President Obama ignored environmental issues during the presidential debates.
Furthermore, Obama observed the devastation of Sandy, putting his campaign on hold while Romney didn’t stop his campaign efforts at all. Are we giving too much attention to man than we are to God and is this a way of God getting our attention about it? Or, is it global warming or global warning?
Luke 21:10-11 Nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other. There will be great earthquakes and there will be famines and epidemics in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs in heavens.
The Reason Romney Lost?
Many Republicans believe that Romney lost the presidential election because of Hurricane Sandy, while Democrats believed Obama won because he was chosen by God.
Was President Obama being presidential when he put his campaign on hold to aid with the storm victims or was he simply being human?
I believe that many Americans looked at it as an act of humanity. The fact that human lives are more important to our President than winning an election is a wonderful thing.
Did Sandy affect the outcome of the election?
I think it had an impact on it but wasn’t the reason one man lost and another man won. I believe the person won the election was the person God wanted to win.
We can look at hurricane Sandy as an act of God, climate change, or government conspiracy. But one thing we do know for sure is that the Bible doesn’t lie, politicians do.
