Your World Has Come to An End

There was a time the devil had you thinking you’re all alone and that no one cares.

He clouded your mind with circumstances making it hard for you to remember that you had experience hurt before and they didn’t defeat you then.

At this moment you understand they won’t defeat you now.

You have learned from time to time; everyone hurts.

You have learned it’s not the end of the world or is it?

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:6-7).

Today you believe in God’s promises and you know in the depths of your heart that He cares about your troubles.

He watches over you.

God have lifted you up so high that now you hold your head above your problems viewing them from their proper perspective.

You look down and see how small they are.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

How many times have you asked yourself what should Christian be “alert” to?

You come to believe it’s being alert to how you react to life’s circumstances.

Daily God’s grace give you the ability to practice self-control.

The devil prowls around looking for reactors and people who cry victim.

You take your time and think before reacting then respond objectively.

Just for that moment you can feel the devil moving on looking for someone else to devour.

Your beliefs about your circumstances are changing.

You no longer want God to change them because you know surviving them alone with surviving your emotions is building character within you.

So you stand in the middle of your Red Sea on dry ground without a worry.

Sometimes all you can do is hold on knowing God is with you.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast ( 1 Peter 5:10).

Each day you release your problem, fears, and doubts to God.

You empty yourself daily dying a painful death each time bring in more of Christ, more of His grace; being restored.

The Holy Spirit dwells in you.

You have all the gifts God has given you (love, joy, peace. self-control etc..) and you’re beginning to open them one circumstance at a time giving God the glory.

The world you once knew has come to an end.

Now you know it was never you against the world. It was you against you.

It was you against God.

  1. Thank you Vernon for reminding us that it is not the world that is against us when we find ourselves in hot waters but rather we are against the world and God. Those words are really deep.

  2. It’s amazing how God will meet you right were you are. This message was what I needed today and I bless you for the obedience to carry this message. It brought tears to my eyes and helped me tremendously today. Thank you Vernon!! I love you much.

  3. Absolutely. Your closing thoughts are a subterranean truth in the emotional battles we face. I realized years ago that my resentment against my parents was in fact resentment against God. Against His right to be God.

    • Wow! That’s a powerful statement but I can relate. It’s easier to admit the resentments we have against someone we work with or a family member than it is against God. Thanks.
