God Will Show You How To Live

5067cd218baae4a83f42350216c6fd6bUpon God releasing you from your mental prison the old man inside will continue to contact you. He uses your memory to remind you of your past making it clear he isn’t going anywhere. You have to accept the fact he never died just because Christ now lives in you.

It is disturbing at first how God works inside us. How He allows the old man to speak to us at any moment. For some odd reason I THOUGHT that would all go away but It only got worse. I forgot my best thinking got me into trouble.

Trying to figure out your problems have never made them better or go away. Guilt and worry keep your mind busy while denying the old man will kept you sick spiritually. You couldn’t possibly have a happy life living this way. There is a better way to live.


Keep a close watch of yourself and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right, and God will save you and those who hear you (1 Timothy 4:16).

When you’re having a relationship with the LORD you are living spiritually by being mindful of your self-talk. It’s important what you say to yourselves is loving and caring because whatever you think comes out through your words, body language or facial expressions. There are many Christians in the world but not all are loving spiritual Christians.


Finally, brother and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things (Philippians 4:8).

Hope, love, forgiveness, kindness, and restrain are some of the spiritual principles we must THINK about daily.

We are to meditate on God’s Word throughout the day. From driving to work to looking for a parking spot, we should be aware of God’s presence INSIDE US as well as outside us.


Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is (Romans 12:2).

You can change your address or change the people you’re around but that won’t change who you are inside. If you want to live differently you must allow God teach you how to think differently. You must allow God to show you how to live.

    • Thanks Lionel. You know as well I do that we must be mindful of God’s will. It’s easy for us to get into self-will and not know it until we have caused pain on our self or someone else. I appreciate you!

      I would like to have a closer relationship with God as well. It’s easy for me to get stuck in self-will. When I’m struggling with a problem and trying to find the solution myself I’m in self-will. But when I listen to my spirit or people God has placed into my life. It runs a lot smoother.

      One thing I love about God is He don’t expects us to be perfect. He just wants us to get better.

      You are correct when you said doing God’s will lessen the sorrow. The best part about that also is when we’re feeling despaired or worried God gives us a choice to respond differently by thinking of all the good He has done for us.

    The bible declares that God is the way, the truth and the life. I agree that God will teach us wisdom only if we let him into our life. He will show us that path to peace and calmness. He will brighten our lives with his light.

      Unless you let Him into your life you have not even started to live. It’s easy to tell the ones who have because of the love they show for others. He is love.

    Lovely post indeed and a great reminder of how much we need Him in our lives, which sadly so many people tend to forget as they lead their busy lives. 🙂

    I haven’t read the entire Bible, just a few verses long back, so it was wonderful going through your write up and I agree that He teaches us everything, but only if we let him and accept Him to be part of us and our lives. He is always there for us to show us the right way to attain peace and harmony in our lives. All we need to do is believe and have faith in Him and all that He does, whether it’s good or bad as there is always a reason behind His doing, isn’t it?

      I haven’t read the whole bible either but like you said, I believe it. Faith, trust and belief are virtues we must have or it’s impossible for Him to guide us.

      When we have those in our spirit we know when things are looking dire who’s in control. That’s one of the benefits for living for Him. Another one is understanding we must not get so busy that we forget about Him. It’s easy for us to get caught up in His gifts and forget about the giver.

    Wow, I agree with that image quote for sure. Very inspirational post, and I really appreciate it. Yes, living spiritually is a state of mind and spirit, in my opinion.

    We are three-part beings: body, soul and spirit, and our “soul” is comprised of our mind, will and emotions. At least that’s what I’ve determined from studying the Scriptures. However, I definitely agree with your point… was just adding a little to it. 🙂 Hope you don’t mind.

    Great reminder to ask ourselves do we really want to change and are we open to having all parts of our life under God’s loving and watchful care. I certainly want to, that’s for sure.

      I’m glad you had the opportunity to visit my blog. I’m blessed to have had you. When I read scriptures I get the same understanding as you do that our “soul” is our mind, will and emotions.

      I also understand they are self-centered if you will. They want what they want and they want it NOW. That’s why being lead by our spirit is so important. It teaches us to not get so caught up with them by being of service to others.

  7. I support your views strongly, Veron. It is very important for everyone of us to stay connected to the supreme power. Suffering in life starts when we move away from god and his teachings. A lot of the world’s problems will be solved if we learn to connect ourselves to God.

      Welcome to my blog. God waits for us to reach out to Him and He wants to be intimate with us. But we can get so busy with life and it’s demands that we forget about Him.The devil has been using ‘busyness’ for a long time.
